Biodegradable metal materials for bone tissue prosthetics
Panáková, Olga ; Vondrák, Jiří (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
This paper is focused on use of metal materials as a bone replacement. For coherence of this text is necessary theoretical preamble which is consisting of describing metal properties, aimed particularly at corrosion, valuation methods of disposition to corrosion and mainly corrosion itself. This paper also includes description of techniques of preparation, which involves selection of material and its procession. Furthermore there are stated results of experiments. Those are amended with pictures.
Materials and methods for welding in the manufacture of steam turbine rotors
Churý, Tomáš ; Řičánková, Veronika (referee) ; Juliš, Martin (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is literature review summarizing current knowledge on materials and methods of steam turbine rotors welding. The first part of this work deals with the historical development from the oldest steam generating equipment to construct the first steam turbine. The next section provides an overview of the most common metal materials for the components of steam turbines and the ways and methods of welding in current technical practice.
Bone implants based on Fe
Bachmayer, Marek ; Vondrák, Jiří (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
This thesis deals with usage of metal materials in bone implats creation process. This work also includes information about structure and attributes of bones, body fluids and content of iron in human organism. Following part of the paper deals with osteosynthesis, therefore commonly used methods of treating bone defects. Next part of this bachelor’s thesis is discussing the issue of biomaterials, biocompatibility and biodegradability of metal materials. Sample preparion procedure and description of samples, electrochemical corrosion and microscopic observation is included altogether with a pictorial documentation at the last chapters of this paper.
Prices analysis of locksmith constructions included in the price of the construction object
Konečný, Jan ; Výskala, Miloslav (referee) ; Aigel, Petr (advisor)
The first part of this master’s thesis, which is more theoretical, contains information relating to prices in general, construction budgets, cost calculation of construction works and materials and costs. In the second part describes the use of materials and their properties, surface treatment and analysis of selected locksmith constructions.
Propagation of Fatigue Cracks under Shear Loading Modes II, III and II+III in the Near-Threshold Region
Vojtek, Tomáš ; Man, Jiří (referee) ; Polák, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pokluda, Jaroslav (advisor)
The material base of trial bicycles
Debs, Martin ; Hanusová, Petra (referee) ; Jan, Vít (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the material analysis of trial bicycle parts. The main aim is the summary of materials and technologies used in construction of these bicycles, exploiting knowledge of material microstructure theory, both in theoretical and practical sections of the thesis. To attain the aims, it was necessary to perform a proper metallographic specimen preparation. These specimens allowed to observe a material microstructure of various bicycle parts and demonstrate the use of metallographic techniques for determining the type of the used materials and applied processing technologies. Comprehensive metallographic analysis proved the use of materials in ordinary quality and ordinary technological processes. Subsequently we documented and explicated various defects in microstructure of the examined parts.
Direct Imaging of Deformation of Metallic Materials by Means of Slow Electrons
Piňos, Jakub ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (referee) ; Kasl, Josef (referee) ; Frank, Luděk (advisor)
Scanning electron microscopy is one of the common tools for the analysis of advanced engineering materials. The development of various techniques allows choosing an appropriate mode of observation to obtain new information about sample structure and properties. The thesis deals with direct imaging of deformation in metal samples by scanning low energy electron microscopy during the in-situ tensile test. Experiments were performed on pure copper samples. Images obtained during the tensile test allow us to observe the effect of deformation in the structure of metal from the first appearance of these effects in structure at deformation intensities about 3-4% up to extreme plastic deformation at the crack tip.
Casting technology in automotive industry
Andrle, Jiří ; Valášek, Petr (advisor) ; Hrabě, Petr (referee)
The goal of this work is to analyse materials and technologies used in casting process in the automotive industry. The work is divided into three main parts. The first part describes materials udes for castings. There are described ferrous materials - cast iron and tempered iron, and lightweight alloys that are increasingly used - aluminium, magnesium and titanium alloys. The next section describes casting technologies used in the manufacturing process of the car, including the innovative methods that are being implemented to automobile manufacturing process. The last part is dedicated to the development and innovation of casting technology. In particular, the simulation of casting process using computer programs that are capable of realistically simulating the course of casting. These methods are described in terms of their practical use in the manufacture of high quality castings further used in the automotive industry.
